چکیده

This paper addresses a decentralized supervisory control problem for an uncertain discrete event system (DES) modeled by a set of possible nondeterministic automata with unidentified internal events. For a given language specification, we present the existence condition of a robust and nonblocking decentralized supervisor that achieves this specification for any nondeterministic model in the set. In particular, we show that the given language specification can be achieved based on the properties of its controllability and coobservability with respect to the overall nominal behavior of the uncertain DES. It is further shown that the existence of a nonblocking decentralized supervisor can be examined with a trajectory model of the language specification. 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Decentralized supervisory control of discrete event systems with communication delays based on conjunctive and permissive decision structures

In many practical discrete event systems (DESs), some unexpected and uncontrollable events can subsequently occur before a proper control action is actually applied to a plant due to communication delays. For such DESs, this paper investigates necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a nonblocking decentralized supervisor that can correctly achieve a given language specification...

In this paper we present the rst results of our attempt to set up a supervisory theory for nondeterministic discrete event systems. The supervisory control problem for nondeterministic systems is speciied and motivated. A necessary and suucient condition for the existence of a supervisor is derived. Also an algorithm is presented that will automatically generate a supervisor. The results are ex...

Decentralized Supervisory Control of Discrete Event Systems for Bisimulation Equivalence

In decentralized systems, branching behaviors naturally arise due to communication, unmodeled dynamics and system abstraction, which can not be adequately captured by the traditional sequencing-based language equivalence. As a finer behavior equivalence than language equivalence, bisimulation not only allows the full set of branching behaviors but also explicitly specifies the properties in ter...

Partial Observation in Distributed Supervisory Control of Discrete-Event Systems

Distributed supervisory control is a method to synthesize local controllers in discrete-eventsystems with a systematic observation of the plant. Some works were reported on extending this methodby which local controllers are constructed so that observation properties are preserved from monolithic todistributed supervisory control, in an up-down approach. In this paper, we find circumstances in ...
